The North Carolina division of the Weekend Bass Series met at Kerr Lake in Henderson, NC for the second event of the 2014 season. "Practice was not good yesterday and the best fish I found was only about two pounds. Today, I fished up river in the dirtier waters and did not see another bass boat until 11 AM. I got away from most of the fishing pressure and I was targeting spawning areas that I know will produce once the fish go to the beds. My main target was exposed root systems in flooded timber using jigs and occasionally spinner baits." The 48 year old employee of Norfolk Southern Railway caught 8 keepers over 14 inches, and culled his last fish 30 minutes before having to return for weigh in.
