Lake Anna is Second Stop for Virginia Division
Virginia anglers of the ABA Weekend Bass Series will make their second stop of the year at Lake Anna on April 26, 2014. The event launch and weigh in will take place at Sturgeon Creek Marina in Spotaylvania, VA. Registration for the event will also take place at Surgeon Creek Marina on Friday, April 25 from 4:00 to 6:30 pm. The Lake Anna event on May 11, 2013 was won by Timothy Jones of King George, VA. Jones won the event with 20.18 pounds that he caught using a 3/16 ounce shakey head with a green pumpkin trick worm. Robert Morris of Roanoke, VA was the co-angler champion. Morris had 8.49 pounds by throwing a fluke around stumps and grass in one to five feet of water.
Anglers that finish the season in the top 40 points rankings will have opportunity to advance to the WBS Regional Championship to compete for two new Triton Boats at Lake Chickamauga in Dayton, TN on September 26 and 27, 2014. Anglers can advance from the WBS Regional Championship to the Ray Scott Championship on Lake Wheeler in Decatur, AL November 12 – 15, 2014.
