Pringle Tastes Victory at Sam Rayburn
Jerrel Pringle of Hemphill, TX took the first place spot at the Southeast Texas division event of the Weekend Bass Series at Sam Rayburn on April 12, 2014. Jerrel won the event with a limit weighing 17.48 pounds. Second place went to Jeff Vines of Port Arthur, TX with 16.72 pounds. Galen Bennett of Slagle, LA took third place with 15.80 pounds and Big Bass for the day with 7.90 pound largemouth.
First place co-angler was Sammy Strong of Orange, TX weighing in 10.93 pounds with a monster 9.16 pound largemouth for Big Bass. Brian Modisette of Broaddus, TX finished second with 10.41 pounds and Joe Nance of Pearland, TX finished third with 8.82 pounds. Anglers that finish the season in the top 40 points rankings will have opportunity to advance to the WBS Regional Championship to compete for two new Triton Boats on the Red River in Alexandria, LA on October 10 & 11, 2014. Anglers can advance from the WBS Regional Championship to the Ray Scott Championship on Lake Wheeler in Decatur, AL November 12 – 15, 2014 to compete for a $100,000 first place boater prize and a $50,000 first place co-angler prize. Anglers can also cash in on contingency programs such as Triton Gold, Atlas Awards, Royal Purple Awards, and Mercury/Motorguide bonus money.
