Canada is enforcing their existing border laws that require all boaters to check in with Canadian authorities. Failure to check in with customs can result in an immediate fine of $1000. The process is to call 888-226-7277 and provide customs with the following information:

Proper ID i.e. (Birth Cert. Passport, Enhanced Driver License, Nexus Card, CanPass Card, are a few that are accepted)
They Will NOT accept regular drivers licenses.
Canadian Licenses can be ordered by phone at 1-800-667-1940 or 1-519-354-7340. They tell you it can take up to six weeks to arrive. Anglers reported approximately two weeks is the norm.
All anglers must be present for Registration and Briefing unless purchasing an ABA Freedom Pass which will allow someone to represent you.
All participants must be active members of both ABA and BASS to compete.
All Boater entries are reminded that proof of $300,000.00 liability insurance needs to be in your possession at on-site registration. If not available when checked, your entry will be denied.
Concerning the Alabama Rig: Local and state regulations for the Alabama Rig will be enforced. Ohio DNR has restricted the number of hooks to three, therefore an Alabama Rig may only have three hooks for this event. (last checked 21 Feb).
