Tom Tarasoff goes Deep to take 1000 Island Last Qualifier

Athens, Al - Tom Tarasoff of Kingston Ontario Canada weighed in 5 Fish Weighing in at 24.49 pounds to win the Weekend Bass Series New York event 2014-08-16 on 1000 Island.

Tom Tarasoff goes deep to catch a winning bag to take the last Division 23 qualifier. I was fishing in forty feet of water using a drop shot. I had 4 good fish in the box by 8:00 am. I couldn't catch that 5th fish till later in the day. I returned to that spot 2 more times, finally my co-angler  caught his third fish on my spot and a couple casts later I finally got bit for my 5th good fish. I caught about 15 fish all day and was able to cull about 6 or 8 times.

In Second place was David Barnes Sr. with 23.15 pounds. I was fishing on the Canadian side most of the time, I caught about 40 to 50 fish today I had to throw back 3 and 3.5 pounders because they wouldn't help my creel. I was able to cull about 5 times today. I caught the majority of my fish on a jig.

In third was Jason Coppolo with a weight of 22.42 ppounds. I was fishing above Clayton  throwing a Carolina rig in 40 feet of warter. I caught 9 fish today and was able to cull 3 times.
