Vaughn McCarter Wins the ABA District 42 Tournament
on AR River/Pine Bluff

The American Fishing Tour, Division 42 of American Bass Anglers held its last qualifying tournament of the 2014 season on the Arkansas River, Pine Bluff Pool, 9 Aug 2014. Most anglers were able to bring in a few fish with six anglers finding five fish limits. 19 anglers caught 55 fish weighing 131.55 pounds, a 2.39 pound average.
Vaughn McCarter topped with leader board with a five fish limit weighing 15.74 pounds. Vaughn threw a Biffle heads and crankbaits to sack up his fish. Vaughn also caught the biggest bass of the tournament, a 4.58 pound fish. For his efforts, Vaughn took home $563.
Doug Shrum earned $277 for second place. He hauled in five fish that weighed 14.13 pounds throwing jigs and spinnerbaits.
Rounding out the top three was Lance Pyle. Lance earned $97 for five fish weighing 13.08 pounds. He caught his fish on a Culprit T-rex worm.
