Greg Horne, Jr. Wins Division 5 Championship
From Division 5, New England East, on August 2-3, 2014, Greg Horne, Jr., of Mansfield, MA, is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a first place win in the American Fish Tour tournament. Greg's 10 bass limit weighed-in for a total of 25.37 pounds. Second place went to Louie Bernardo who weighed in a two-day, ten fish limit at 23.24 pounds. Third place was Cameron Smith with a weight of 21.88 pounds. Big bass was awarded to Greg Horne Jr. who weighed in a 4.50 pound largemouth bass.

Conditions: We had 7 degree air temps w/cloudy skies, 50% humidity. Water temps were in the low 70s.
Winning Strategy: Greg's pattern was to go to many spots because of the ever changing weather pattern and just flipped a jig and was fortunate to catch his kicker fish on an unfamiliar spot.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship for this fall on Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville, TN.
