Kentucky Division at Paris Landing This Saturday
Kentucky anglers of the ABA Weekend Bass Series will make their fourth stop of the year at Kentucky Lake on July 12th, 2014. The event launch and weigh in will take place at Paris Landing State Park in Buchanan, TN. Registration for the event will take place at Paris Landing State Park on Friday, July 11th, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:30 pm. A WBS event at Kentucky Lake on June 22nd, 2013, was won by David Gnewikow of Mount Juliet, TN. Gnewikow caught a limit weighing 26.04 pounds with a 9.42 pound largemouth for Big Bass. He caught his winning bag on a chartreuse sexy shad crankbait and a big green pumkin worm. Tim D. Rampaul of Burns, TN won the co-angler side of that event with 13.13 pounds. Entry fees for ABA Weekend Bass Series one-day events are $200 for boaters and $100 for co-anglers. Weekend Bass Series events are open to all ABA members. Memberships may be purchased onsite at tournament registration, by calling ABA at (256) 232-0406, or by going to www.americanbassanglers.com. ABA membership dues are $25 per year and include a new member gift packet along with a subscription to American Bass Anglers magazine.
Anglers that finish the season in the top 40 points rankings will have opportunity to advance to the WBS Regional Championship to compete for two new Triton Boats at Lake Chickamauga in Dayton, TN on September 26 and 27, 2014. Anglers can advance from the WBS Regional Championship to the Ray Scott Championship on Lake Wheeler in Decatur, AL November 12 – 15, 2014 to compete for a $100,000 first place boater prize and a $50,000 first place co-angler prize.
Anglers can also cash in on contingency programs such as Triton Gold, Atlas Awards, Royal Purple Royal Treatment, and Mercury/Motorguide bonus money.
