Eric Craft Wins Two-Day & Angler of the Year
Athens, Al - Eric Craft of Erie, KS won the American Fishing Tour Missouri - Stockton division 126 tournament with two day total of 31.80 pounds held on Stockton Lake on 06/07/2014.
Eric Craft won the American Fishing Tour 2-Day Championship, presented by American Bass Anglers, Missouri Division 126 tournament, held June 7-8, 2014 on Stockton Lake.
Running out of Hartley Ramp (Old State Park), the Erie, Kansas angler caught 10 bass weighing 31.80 pounds including a Day-1 5.18 pound kicker. For the victory, Craft took home $776. Craft also won the Angler of the Year award which earns him a place in the AOY Fish-Off to be held on Old Hickory Lake, TN during October 22-25, 2014 where he will be fishing against other AOY's from all ABA Divisions, the prize being a fully rigged Triton boat.
In second among these AFT competitors, Carl Cox of Aldridge, MO caught 10 bass weighing 26.56 pounds. Cox caught his fish in a few selected locations, saying, "I had to share my spot today (Sunday) with a couple of other angler." Cox took $402 for his 2nd place finish. Cox is now qualified to fish the AFT National Championship to be held on Old Hickory Lake, TN October 22-25, 2014.
Taking third place, Brian Thompson of Springfield, MO caught 10 bass weighing 23.99 pounds with a Day 2 kicker weighing 6.55 pounds. Thompson took $142 for his finish and also qualified himself to fish the AFT National Championship.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship for this fall on Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville, TN.
