Alabama South Anglers Head to Eufaula This Saturday
Alabama South anglers of the ABA Weekend Bass Series will make their third stop of the year at Lake Eufaula on May 17, 2014. The event launch and weigh in will take place at Lakepoint Resort State Park. Registration for the event will also take place at Lakepoint Resort State Park on May 16, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:30 pm. Cary Priest won a Georgia division event at Eufaula on May 3rd with 22.66 pounds that he caught swimming a white Strikezone Swimtastic jig in shallow grass.
Scott Ebintino won the co-angler side of the May 3rd Eufaula event with 12.34 pounds. He used a spinnerbait and a frog to secure his win.
Weekend Bass Series events are open to all ABA members. Memberships may be purchased onsite at tournament registration, by calling ABA at (256) 232-0406, or by going to www.americanbassanglers.com. ABA membership dues are $25 per year and include a new member gift packet along with a subscription to American Bass Anglers magazine.
Anglers that finish the season in the top 40 points rankings will have opportunity to advance to the WBS Regional Championship to compete for two new Triton Boats at Lake Toho in Kissimmee, FL on October 17 & 18, 2014. Anglers can advance from the WBS Regional Championship to the Ray Scott Championship on Lake Wheeler in Decatur, AL November 12 – 15, 2014 to compete for a $100,000 first place boater prize and a $50,000 first place co-angler prize.
Anglers can also cash in on contingency programs such as Triton Gold, Atlas Awards, Royal Purple Awards, and Mercury/Motorguide bonus money.
